Hi Jan,

WOW - GREAT poem - WELL worthy of a 6er, but I'm sorry to say I don't have any left to award. :(((

Lovely artwork and verse combine here for a profound effect.

The (dissociated) inner child work is so critical to healing - not just for victims of this type of assault, but for others as well.

Geez - it's been a long time - well over a year ago - I'd created a multi-author book entitled "Come Out to Play" - just for people to post silly play-type stuff to invite everyone's inner child a forum. Fun stuff.

Thanks for sharing,

Jan

Hey, Jan, long time no hear from. It's great to see you again. Thanks for your insights. This piece was one of those that began nagging me and would not stop until I committed it to paper. Love, Jan

A very reassuring poem for blah blah blah and other's who are trying to find
their self-worth in what has been considered lost. No, nothing is lost or damaged but their perception of themselves as a result of anger for not being able to get even. Divert that anger, turn it into a challenge and the self worth will be restored. The poem shows some pointers in this direction. Love the poem.

Thanks, Norzah. While not lost, it is certainly displaced for a long, long time. This piece was one of those that began nagging me and would not stop until I committed it to paper. Love, Jan

I hadn't really thought about it until your author's notes made reference to it, but there are several victims of child abuse within the FS community. It has to be a terrible, traumatic thing to live with, and I'm sure you deal with it almost daily. This is a well written piece that I think would be helpful for those in need of your understanding of their plight. Well done Jan

This role of the persona in your poem is unique, for the speaker and the person being addressed to are the same. It is really an epitome of creativity and imagery. The subject is also not to be found so cheaply.Though in prose we do have some writings on the same theme but you have handled it in this poem of yours very beautifully.
Bless you,
Rajasir

Yes, little one, don't be ashame, stand and be strong. Your piece is wonderful and inspiring especially to those people who experienced abuses from the other people. Great piece.

Lovely inspirational write and I wish I was strong enough to let my inner voice out, I let it have a chat and then I put it back away again as I am too scared to let her out. I hope one day she will stayand I will be able to continue my healing process at the moment I am just treading water and trying not to drown.

mel, I pray you will be able to let her out one day, too. I was terrified to let mine out but it has been so freeing to do it. I think having the proper therapist, in my case, a great Christian therapist, is essential to the process. Godspeed to you.

Did I ever tell you that you were my favorite mom??? Cause if I haven't yet I should probably do it now. And just so you know, I can't gaze into your eyes because this 1000 or so miles between us makes it kinda hard.

But you have a copy of my book which has a picture of me in it so you can, too, gaze into my eyes. Score another one for me, Little One. Love, Mom Jan

There's nothing to say, except you deserve "6" from everybody who reads this. This poem is the best of the best my friend. If there was the impossible "7" to give, I would've given you a perfect "10."

Keep up the writing and the heartfelt emotions in your potery.
