I like your poem. Although it seems mellow with a fellow, do you best thinking when you're drinking. Funny but I like. Keep writing

I had to laugh reading this one. It fit me to a "t" until it got to the drinking ( wine ) part. "He's reading me, not missing a line," was where I got a laugh. That's my husband all over, and I can read him even better. LOL Great flow and humor to this poem. V.A.

Your little bit of 'fluff'' is good and brings a smile to my lips.
There is nothing like some old fashioned love, to make your day end on the upside, if you are with the one you love.
You have told this well.
I didn't care for the use of "Shut up" but I guess in some work areas it would be the only word that is understood.
Thanks for sharing.

    The 'Shut Up' was in italics because I was thinking it; in other words, I was saying it to myself because sometimes I get carried away when I'm holding office meetings. I can usually glance around and see a few eyes glazing over and I know it is time to Shut Up! Glad you smiled. Thanks for the encouraging comments. ann

This was one of the most enjoyable poems I have read since a while. Witty, funny and to the point. I do believe you like to drink!! I loved your last line!! hehe.

This was a nicely written free verse poem.

The rhyming scheme in this was absolutley excellent and consistant. There was a good flow and good imagery as well.

Interesting. I like the repitition and rhyme scheme. I don't think I have seen that particular form before. Good flow and imagery. Well done!

Yes, may be fluff but so is cotton candy...and like candy your poem is SWEET! I love it. No errors and it seems you follow the same drink routine as me. I guess it would be bad if we flipped them! Wine for breakfast...hmmm.

This is really funny! After we reach a certain age we need that caffeine to jumpstart the day. Then of course there is night filled with all the autocracies we had thrown at us during the day. You did a great job with this.
