what a wonderful poem in memory of such a wonderful person. why is it the monsters of the world are never assassinated? its always the souls full of grace that get dead. i guess the strongest souls for good are seen as a bigger threat than the most horrific leader the world has ever seen. the light will always shine. may her death not be in vain. thank you for this

You've certainly made the message clear to those who kill and maim. I'm certainly with you in the logic and the feelings you so richly express here!
Just one comment: I would like to see just a bit more rhyming in the poem. The last stanza was right on!

Mike, beautiful piece with much passion and truth in this one..full of incredible information in your notes..and yes, the forefathers had the right idea also, as did she...passion, kindness, understanding, inner beauty, drama, and people who want change are generally feared and shunned by others..no one likes to be too happy sometimes..do not know why...well, my friend..lovely sensitive piece...I loved Ben Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson, 2 of my favorites..much love twomoon.

And a second! What I had written was that I origionally wanted to do a bit of research and make the poem about her life, then I had the thought what would she want me to write. This lady was very comfortable in her exile and didn't have to come back, but she did knowing I feel, that she would die. This conviction reminded me of our forefathers committment.
This led me to the fact that our local newspaper prints the names of the service men that are killed in Afganistan and Iraq, then there is an article about the bombing and it just states, "128 Iraqis killed." If the Muslim names are printed, it would take up a section of that newspaper. They are the one's actually on the front lines, if they weren't our servicemen killed would be that section. They don't get either encouragment, acknowledgement or proper thanks.
Thank you very much for your much love, compliments and review.
Love,
Mike

I watched the BBC all day that day, my Mike, it is mind blowing. Another 9/11, another Kennedy assassination.
Another death of a woman.
Why paint in colours when all is covered in black?

Mila

In a way, I understand that statement.

I also accidentally found a way to gert priority treatment. I also share the poems with people that I think would benifit by them. In this case both the presidents of Pakistan and the United States, I must have hit one of the White Houses key words and the captured my zero memory page. Oh well, no harm- no foul.
Mila, Thank you very much for your compliments and review. There is no black from my view, when I hear from you!
Love, Mike

Reminds me of our Jan Hus burned at stake for truth, my Mike.
The sacrificial lambs, it goes on ond on.

Very well said my friend and you have just penned the great sentiments. Its like also the former Senator of the Philippines " Ninoy Aquino who was also assassinated when he returned to the Philippines from exile. They have one in common love for country and people. Good day.

Dear Mike,
Great poem, and solid message. Unfortunately, more and more fanatics are teaching hatred to impessionable young children. This is the frst "six" I've given in a long time.

I like this, it was good, informative, but lost a bit of its meter, towards the end. But I know sometimes it is hard to get ones point a crossed without deterring a bit.
My Best
