HEHE! This is very funny. Children would love this. I'm trying to write and publish my children's stories. Probably all the chapters I was going to get published as one book will be combined into one book.
Well, keep writing.

An extremely "gripping" chapter. I am enjoying all this leg pulling. I like your weird sense of humor.
Not sure if I would read this to my three year old grand children though. Maybe a seven or eight year old would handle it if they haven't been sheltered from monster stories all their lives. It is amusing for adults though. At least it is keeping me amused.

I was thinking of around the 6 or 7 age range. And the best kids books have something there ofr the adult too. Thanks for reading

Oh, shoot! You've brought back nightmare memories of my older, cruel brother babysitting me when I was Annabelle's age and that's the story he told me to keep me in bed. There were monsters under the bed and if I dared to put a hand or a leg below the matress, I would dissapear and be eaten. How cruel is that! Bet you did much the same thing.
Cute story, Snod.

No, I was never allowed to tell them those sort of things. Mum was such a spoilsport. But I think the monster under the bed is pretty universal. Thanks for the review

Hi there snodlander. 'Annabelle and the Bogey Man' again - keep 'em coming!
This was another great little story (if disgusting - wall elves and snot!) Does this little girl ever get any sleep?

Couldn't find anything to comment on as far as the writhing or story telling was concerned - it looked fine to me.

Well done, can't wait for the next one.
Regards Pete.

You might have to wait a little while, I'm racking my brains to think of novel ways to get Annabelle to scream. Thanks for your review

I am going to take this with me camping this weekend. My Grandkids are coming and we'll have a nice fire going and I am going to scare the crap out of them. No! Your going too! Don't you just love it? I like the fun way you expess yourself in writing, you have a happy way of looking at life. Very fun and flowing smooth.

It is really good. I don't believe in Bogey man but I could picture the whole conversation with Annabelle. I enjoyed it.
Great job.

Just because you don't believe in the Bogey Man, that's not to say he doesn't believe in you. Sleep well. Or as well as he lets you. Bwuuahahahahaha!

And thank you for your review

...This is the most wonderful, awesome, totally unbelievably great children's bed-time horror story ever. Hands down. Someone somewhere needs to illustrate this thing with vaguely creepy pencil drawing and get me a copy, quick!

What I absolutely adore about it is the story-within-a-story. I got to read two at once. It was delightful! I love your "voice" in this. It's so normal it's eerie, because when someone's entertaining a Bogey Man in their room, normal is not really what is expected. Thus, it's terribly, terribly wonderful.

And now I shall take you through my reading...as I flag parts I liked!

Initial thought: Oh huzzah! Today is a glorious day, I get two of yours in a row!

Followed closely by: Wait...wait, seriously, he's the Bogey Man? That's completely awesome!

?Oops, my mistake. I thought I heard a bed monster, but it must have been wall elves.?

?What are wall elves??

?They?re elves that live in the walls, of course." That made me giggle, because it's such a perfect not-answer. And...wall elves are sort of gross, aren't they? You seem to write the "eewww..." kind of gross very well. I'm utterly impressed!

"Mattresses are warm and snug, and if the Bed Monster is lucky enough to be owned by a bed-wetter, it?s nice and damp, too.

'Eew, gross!'

'Don?t knock sleeping in a wee-soaked mattress until you?ve tried it.?'" I'm going with the little girl on that one. How do these thoughts come into your head? I'm awed and disturbed in equal measure. You've invented a monster that enjoys sleeping in a wet bed...eugh.

"One night she heard all the sounds that weren?t there, and knew that the noises that weren?t happening were not being made by the Bed Monster. That?s always a give-away there is a Bed Monster: when you can?t hear it at all." Oh God, seriously? Now I'll never sleep again! This is such a delightful and convoluted train of thought I can't help but love it.

?What Anne forgot,? he said, ?was that a bed has two sides.? Luckily, my bed is wedged in the corner. Huzzah!

I gave my six-star to you on the other piece, so I don't have any more at the moment, but if I could I'd give one to you right now. I can't tell you enough how much I loved this piece. It stuck such a mixed note of innocence and darkness. All of your characters are unique and interesting, and I love the development of the Bed Monster. How do you come up with all these unusual ideas? Your mind must be a fascinating place to live!

This is an absolutely glorious story! Well done!

Well, is my face red with embarrassment from your flattery. I'm glad you liked it. Most people think my mind is an interesting place to visit, but wouldn't want to live there. The ideas are hiding at the moment. I have no idea how to make her scream the next time, but I have the prospect of being dragged around the shops today. With my mind blank and nothing else to do, maybe I'll come up with another idea.
