This is a very well written piece of poetry, interesting and thought provoking. I must confess, I am not sure that I quite understand the whole of the poem, but will work on it, by having another read. Sandra

Hi Alcreator,
Standing ovation for a short poem. It is well composed and evocative. One line tripped me up. What does Wise bards drink white to the lee mean? You have chosen descriptive words, the flow is smooth and the theme is superb. Well done, chey

Fragrance, His Gifted Grace, color and beauty
Infinite mortal lessons poured in tiny white petals
O tulip! You carry His White Message, so mute!
This is wonderful poetry... I like when someone posts something deep enough that I must dive into it a few times to fully absorb it. :)

This is a very interesting thought provoking poem. Parts of your poem I could relate to, while other parts, I simply did not understand. Everyone has their own style of writing.

Hi,
Seems you have a lot of poems listed. This one like the others is well written and easy to follow. I think what I like about your style is the consistence of verse you post. Another great job.

That gift of the white tulip. Petals of pearls, stop and take the time to see, this gift the poets praise, it's beauteous and fragrance come's forth in our words. Very nicely said.

Again I applaud you for shortening your postings- it makes them much easier to digest without wandering away from the theme. Very enjoyable analogy with the white tulip. You lost me, however, with "Wise bards drink white to the lee"

This is great. I especially like the line, "Infinite mortal lessons poured in tiny white petals." And "When bloomed, graced hearts take essence" is really beautiful. How terribly frightening it must have been to live on your words alone; how terribly frightening it is! Thank you for sharing this ode to the bards of old.

Beautifully written poem. Taking in a lot from the tiny white petal of a tulip.
"When bloomed, graced hearts take essence, o fate!
But wretched minds then busy in occupation, belly earning,
livelihood, miss you, eat dark, live black;
you go grave silent 'fore day begins!"
Regards.

interesting symbolism of the white tulip to represent the purity and innocence of God's gifts
While I can get an overall feel for your poem, some lines trip me up - such as, what does it mean that bards drink white to the lee - what does lee mean in this context?
interesting contrast between appreciating the purity/white of life and how that is difficult to do if one is caught up in the material part of life - making a living to feed one's belly
interesting observation about how poets help us focus on the purer aspects of life
