that is cute and very imaginative. I live the humor added along with all the accolades, admiration, and feelings from the members of Fan Story, USA :)
AND the two guys bonding over Barbancourt Rum from Haiti!

That was an interesting way to approach the book. But, I felt the story ended to soon. You didn't say what you were making! What did you cook.? I think chicken soup with Garlic knots. With fresh baked, rolled out lemon sugar cookies. Karen

This was a wonderful tribute to Sandra, John. So what did you cook for her? Your Arancini Rice Balls perhaps? I made them this weekend, and they turned out great. What a wonderful recipe!
I'm sure Sandra will get a kick out of this fun story. Graham too.

I'm working on the posts second part. Sandra said her and Graham got a nice laugh from the post. I was happy to hear that. She's a fine person.
I'm glad the Arancini worked out well. Did you elevate them with the ricotta and more sauce?
-
Not yet on the ricotta, just the sauce. I'll try the ricotta next time. I didn't have to shop for any of the ingredients. Had 'em all in the pantry. No ricotta, though.

Oh!!! I ran out of six stars. This is such a sweet story with such wonderful intent. Will either you or Graham be able to get off your stools to make the meal, or maybe it can be breakfast.

Very interesting addition to the multi-author book.
minor notes:
"Sure thing, sweetie-puss. I'd be happy {too." said} Graham
-"Sure thing, sweetie-puss. I'd be happy too," said Graham
when you asked her to marry." I said with a wink wink.
-when you asked her to marry," I said with a wink wink.
Let me get started.."

Hi John, this is a wonderful contribution, and I know that Sandra will have a good chuckle with this story of yours. I bet you and Graham had a good time downing the snifters of rum. Ulla:)))

I had one of those glittery sixes left and I can't think of a better place than another fantastic story for Sandra. She told me she couldn't stop laughing when she read it so I instantly had to go find it. But John....now she's wondering where the dinner is... did you and Graham have a few too many of those two-finger rums and then you needed the rest...or just plain passed out? Great job!

It's quite a touching story.
Did that dinner ever get prepared? (-;
I found a few spelling/punctuation mistakes:
"Sure thing, sweetie-puss. I'd be happy too." said Graham, like a good husband taking care of his better-half. = I think here the too has to be a to followed by a ,
I'm from the states, as in the United States. = States should be capitalized
"Sandra isn't aware of this is she? = this, is she
Well this surprise visit is because her dear friends, wanted me to prepare for her, a very special meal. = Well, but no , after friends and her
asked her to marry." I said with a wink wink. = marry ,
Yes there is one thing I'll need = Yes,
Oh, and I hope that bottle of rum was empty in the end!

You're welcome. I take it this actually happened? I'm quite new here.
-
No, it's all fiction. I just posted part 2 if you want to give it a look.
John
-
I will!

where do I find part 2? I've just realized it's a multi-author story, so is it another chapter?
Comment from Kirsten Shonle
What a great story to give ode to a writer on Fan Story. I really liked the dialogue and the interactions between the two. I like that he was sent by fellow members on Fan Story to cook a meal for Sandra. With what you had written it made sense that Sandra was at rest when John arrived. This was a very enjoyable read.
