So, Phil is some body-swapping guy like in Quantum Leap? Though Scott Bakula's character could also travel through time... Anyway, Phil is trying to right a wrong? Interesting. I can't wait to see who Phil becomes next.

Thank you. I appreciate your very nice review.

Well this will be a hard ask for Phil. He'll have to deal with Italian language, with Catholicism, and with the Vatican's way of doing things, all long-established and the problem of the poor health of the Pope!

Thankfully, Pope Francis is on his own now. Phil is free to awaken as Putin next week. Pellier (fictional) will attend the next conclave and the Pope's med nurse has been outted (fictional).
Thank you for your very kind review.

This is amusing and sort of sad. The Pope can only hang on so long, and it would be a shame for Phil to lose his life, although his body would be blessed with the Pope's soul. Very enjoyable if confusing.

This intriguing and humorous take on body-swapping delivers a fresh twist on identity and power. When Phil unexpectedly wakes up as Pope Francis, he must navigate the Vatican's inner workings while unraveling the mystery behind his transformation. With sharp wit, engaging dialogue, and a blend of mystery and camaraderie, the story keeps readers hooked. The dynamic between Phil and his friend Tom is entertaining, adding a buddy-comedy feel to an otherwise high-stakes scenario. The blend of humor, intrigue, and theological musings makes this a unique and engaging read. Fans of speculative fiction with a comedic edge will enjoy this clever take on mistaken-or perhaps divine-identity.
Well done.

Well, this is quite the pickle. And I don't know enough about the Pope but I guess Phil is going to clean house in the Vatican and the Pope is going to stop the bad cardinals before any "cardinal sin" happens.
Do you mean the character ñ ? Did it not work to use the special characters in the Advanced Editor? The icon with the omega character. I think it's in there.

Well I'll be! Thank you. I never clicked on that icon. Wonder what else I can learn today?
Thank you very much!
As for the story, that was it - get Pellier to attend the next conclave (presumably because he would be elected), and discover a 'would-be' assassin who was messing with the Pope's meds.
Next up - Putin
-
Wait, Phil is going to inhabit Putin's body? Putin is Orthodox so shouldn't be meeting the Pope...
-
These next posts are stand-alone stories. Pope Francis is now back and will no longer be disturbed.

Now Phil has occupied the Pope's body, what changes will he bring with him, of course this would have been willed by God Himself, and I hope it isn't now with the Pope having contracted pneumonia, Phil hopes the occupier of his body is being looked after, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Not really rocking with this one. I watched Snl in the 70's
Father Guido Sarducchi! Give me a break. Phil should have waited at least 6 months. He needs to go home and stay there. And keep going home until it sticks. Karen

Father Guido Sartucci? Don't think I missed that reference to Don Novello's character. Your body-travelling character continues his exploits. Once I visited a mystic who told me he could interchange my body with the pope. I agreed to this, but he must've misspelled the name in his incantation. I morphed into Pops, most specifically, Sugar Pops Pete and I had to shoot my way out of hungry people's mouths before I changed back.

I really enjoyed this chapter. The way you brought Phil and the Pope's body-switching situation to life was hilarious and so fun to read. I especially liked the part where Phil starts giving orders. The dialogue like the back and forth with Father Guido Sarducci was great. Your ability to keep the humor rolling wonderful. And the story is so interesting. Keep up the great work!
