An excellent entry for the Poem for a Child writing prompt. what child couldn't relate to this poem and having a teddy bear or doll as a close friend, especially at night when they want someone to sleep next to. Nicely written.

I really enjoyed this poem for children. Didn't we all think our stuffed animals came to life? I loved the fun they had, then when they went to bed it was just a teddy bear. The imagination needed to shut off once sleepiness arrives. Good luck in the contest.
