I don't look for errors, because I'm not one to critique editing, since as you know I'm rife with errors. My eldest had a recent tornado that just missed them. Thanks for sharing.

It seems parts of the US are in danger of severe weather this weekend too. Thank you for the support.

Your detailed account of huddling through the tornado warning, under the blankets in the bathroom, puts us right in the middle of the storm with you. From the moment of the warning on the radio, and then watching the carports turn over, and finding out about all the buildings destroyed in Clarksville we feel that unsettling atmosphere of having a world beneath your feet completely upended. estory

Barbara,

This is another great story about your family. How scary, a tornado is bad enough, but in the middle of the night. It's a good thing you didn't ignore your dog.

Great job

Cecilia

"We don't remember the days; we remember the moments" - by Italian poet Cesare Pavese

I love that quote, maybe give credit to the poem in your background.

I love your family stories. This one is a little scary with the F3 tornado. I haven't experienced anything like that. In California we complain when the temperature is 70 degrees lol

Well done, Barbara.

I add to the quote. When I found it, it said anonymous. Thank you for the kind review. Many Texans complain too. I'm happy for the 70-degree weather.

Oh my goodness Barbara, your memory is vivid here of that day and the chaos that ensued. I can't imagine being in such a devastating tornado, didn't the weather men give you an earlier warning. How dreadful for those who lost their homes. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, love Dolly x x x

Aren't people so funny? When I was in Houston, we'd ask them about the dangers of tornadoes and hurricanes and they were not concerned but oh, mention the earthquakes in California and they would be shocked. No pun intended.
Anyway, out this way, we have so few snow plows etc but cities shut down and schools close when there is just a dusting of snow. Lol. Thanks for sharing!

I remember going to school in Illinois with snow piled to our knees. It makes me wonder. Thank you for the support.

An interesting story and yes, your tornadoes can have a traumatic effect on those who have experienced them (as can our cyclones). I enjoyed hearing about Stephen's latest concerns as well.

With what we saw last week 24 hours after two tornados, I am a lot more worried about the news suggesting the possibilities of bad storms. Dogs (and other animals) are great at warning us about bad storms. Your son has a point about people being rather uninspired about weather warnings (unless it is snow). The picture of the destruction looks like it was very fortunate that no one died.
