An amazing poem about farm life. I grew up on farms and I know its hard work, but good work. It is nice to see the product of a seed you had sown and see how its grown. Very good photo to go with the poem as well. Keep up the great work!

This is a sad but beautifully written poem. A loving couple working together on their farm for years. Now he is gone and she wonders what she will do now. All alone. The wording is very touching. I enjoyed reading it.

This is such a poignantly expressed and beautiful verse, infused with nature blending with a farmer's work. Now that he is no longer here, the reminder of his life remains. My favourite stanza is the penultimate one which is superb. Take care Debbie

Thank you for sharing this poem with us. It's beautifully written. A farmer's life is very difficult, and I doubt many people think about it. It is also very difficult when one loses a loved on. I feel we heal some but never completely heal.

That is so sad, Marival. Is this biographical? If so, I'm so sorry for your loss. Farmers have a hard life, mostly work with little time for fun. But when a couple can make the romance work in such a hard life, then all is good. Farmers in my country are up in arms by the new higher taxes the treasury is making them pay. It's not as if they were getting enough to keep them going before. I fear we will be seeing many sell up and then those farms will be turned into housing estates. The world is changing, my friend.

It's fictional and I don't know where it came from lol. I don't know until I sit down to write. I will add a note to my poem. I know it must sound real. I guet myself in the characters... but you know that.

Great job telling this story of a faithful couple, living humbly in their farm existence, close to the earth and "planting seeds of love and harvesting an honest life". I think the tariffs have definitely adversely affected our farmers. But the grieving of a lifetime partner affects all couples in every situation.

Yes, poor farmers, poor all of us. But people are rising up and protesting. The courts are trying to keep hand reels around trump and elon but they are giving them the finger. They want to be kings... or dictators. Let's pray 🙏 our voices will make a difference.
