I love the way you bring Greek mythology to life. There is so much emotion here. The way you show Zeus's betrayals is so powerful. I could really feel her rage and sorrow. This is beautifully written. It flows so easily. Your storytelling is wonderful and this easily kept my interest.
Fantastic work!

Hi Michael!
Always a pleasure to see your reviews! I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed my poem and storytelling. I've been fascinated with Greek mythology since I was about 8 years old, and I'm 23 now. It's a fascination that's had me in a chokehold for years, and Hera's story has enraptured me all this time as well. For some reason, I can't get it out of my head! I'm overjoyed to hear you say I did her story justice, and that my writing of it evokes emotion and is powerful. That's exactly what I was hoping for. I wanted to bring to life the tumultuous emotions Hera felt.
Thank you for reading the whole thing- I know it was lengthy. I'm also happy to hear my poem easily kept your interest. I was afraid I'd lose some people with the length.
As always, thank you Michael for reading and for taking the time to leave a review. I genuinely appreciate it.
Until next time,
Cheers,
Keely

Keely, you have recounted the life of Hera, Queen of Olympus and wife of an adulterer. Though her actions were often vicious, you make us CLEARLY understand why she did what she did. I will never be a fan of AABB rhyming, but I truly enjoyed this lengthy poem. Rod

Hi Rod!
I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed my poem! I've been fascinated by Greek mythology since I was about 8 years old, and I'm 23 now. Hera's story- for some reason- has always had me in a chokehold. I'm happy to hear my poem told her story in a way that successfully communicated her pain and sorrow. I also am not the biggest fan of AABB rhyming- I actually greatly prefer just free verse- but I'm happy to hear you enjoyed my poem nonetheless.
I hope you have a wonderful day/night (not sure what time it is where you are- here in Texas it's 9:12 PM :) )
Best wishes,
Keely
