Here I am to rain on your parade again. This reads as a story not a poem. For a poem you need structure.
Alec Baldwin had a bad day
The woman he shot had it worse
He picked up the fake gun
And shot her through her purse
The gun that shot just blanks
Was changed out on that day
And Alec had no warning
That things would go astray
They tried to make him carry guilt
And took Alec to be arrested
But he was proven not to blame
But everyone's been tested
Dumb things happen all the time
We all know that this is true.
But from now on please double check
I would if I were you.
Rather than tell you, it is easier to show you.
I was terrible at grammar when I got here. I got edited to death. I still get edited. But, I get better. I get read more. Karen

but again without trying to defend the poem...This is a Clerihew: A four line, two rhyme whimsical/satirical/Biographical poem of unequal lines that reveal unknown/unpopular information about famous people or celebrities. teafor2

That was very sad. He disappeared from the movie scene, stopped playing Trump at SNL. But his recent reality show with his wife doesn't look good. I only saw a few seconds in the news.

This was such a sad case. There never should have been a real gun on
set, so they needed to find out how it got there. I feel sorry for the woman and her family and for Alec Baldwin. He will carry that guilt with him forever. Thanks for posting this.

Well, Hollywood is now and never has been, nor likely never will be nothing more than a "reel" life, and we who have lived the 'real' life now are faced with joining their make belief lives with DEI and genderless beings only to likely find if there is an after life it is as fake as what is viewd on the big screen

Great little poem with a surprising end. Mr. Baldwin is blessed to get a second chance since the judge sided with the defense and dismissed Baldwin's case "with prejudice," agreeing that prosecutors withheld evidence about the live rounds. (Guns with bullets verses prop guns.) Withholding evidence is a very stupid thing to do, if you ask me. Just my opinion from the cheap seats. Thanks for sharing.

I felt so badly for Alex Baldwin when that terrible accident happened. "misheeded an omen," what a great line. This is a great biographical poem written in so few words. I enjoyed the read. Thank you for sharing.
