This was a short, but poignant read.
I think when we are 'home' in the moment, we never think of the things we will miss. The moments never seem that precious.
Yet, years down the line, we look back and realize how wonderful all those little details really are.
This is very well-written and thought-provoking.

This is an excellent entry for the Joseph's Star writing prompt. Beautiful presentation and good job on the poem style. This is a new format to me. It looks like fun. i will have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

Your poem is full of feeling. I love how each line feels like a step toward something deeply missed. The image of jacaranda trees blooming is beautiful. It makes "home" feel so real. The longing in your words is wonderful. This was a lovely read!

Thanks for your review Jess. I don't think you get Jacarandas in the US. They bloom in springtime with beautiful purple flowers.
