I like the way this verse evolves to paint a scene of madness as this "blood-red worm moon" exerts its otherworldly influence on the people below. Quite a horror story, clearly and lucidly expressed. Well done and good luck! Debbie

I once read that when there is a full moon, people with mental issues can get more restless than usual.

Not too hard to imagine a bunch of drunks howling wildly to a red blood moon.. what won my vote though was your vivid imagination :

Your poem has such a wild energy! I love how the scene starts grounded in a rowdy bar and then becomes something almost mythical. The blood red worm moon is perfect. The way it makes the drinkers into banshees is fantastic. Such a fun and haunting poem!
