Hi MariVal,
I love a well written haiban... there is something very special in combining the form of poetry and prose... especially when done this well.
I know of the movie... wow, it was so long ago now and has probably just as much controversy in its telling today, as it did then.
I must say I had mixed feeling back when I first viewed the movie... and well, didn't really expect its ending.
But all that aside, I love the way you wove your Haiku's into this story... it is and was seamless on all accounts.
With our thoughts we create...
the wonders of connectivity.
Always in my thoughts and prayers my dearest friend!
Kindest regards,
James.

It's so good to hear from you. I'm happy you like this one. Thank you very much for your exceptional six stars review and kind words π
I hope you and Jade had a wonderful valentine's day. I'm watching Atticus while mom and dad went on a date. I love spending time with my little man so it's a win win situation π βΊοΈ

Wow!!! How did I miss this story? No clue but I surely did. I enjoyed reading this Haibun. I'm going to have to look these two up. Thank you for introducing them to me.

Another fine poem, Gypsy......don't think I've seen the movie, although I had heard of it. Sounds uplifting, to be sure, which is probably why I haven't seen it!

Your combination of Haiku and prose works well here. It shows how so- called odd things do fit well sometimes. It is a fictional story, but I have seen such relationships work well in my own extended family members lives. It is a beautiful thing when you live life where the importance is on love, tryst and honesty.

Wow. How interesting, thought provoking, and well written. I think I'll try to see the movie soon. I don't think I've ever seen it. Seems like a classic tragedy. I love you presentation and song link too. Very well done!

What an intriguing story! I've never heard of Harold and Maude but enjoyed this haibun form combining poetry with prose, even if it did have a sad ending for Harold, at least. No errors noted. Thank you, MariVal. Debbie

I loved that quirky movie! It's rather dark but the terrible mother that Harold had made us feel sorry for him. And the acting was great. My favorite scene was how he gets rid of all the dates that his mother sets him up with.
Great summary of the movie in your haibun poem!

Thank you very much π Big Sister. I want to watch it again. I only remember parts of it. It's a classic. Ruth Gorden was such a beautiful and talented actress.
Thank you very much, Big Sister.
