Being a teacher again and pro-bono that is a interesting turn on the story. The student seems to be gifted. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the next chapter.

Thank you, Iza. This is something new for Marie, but she seems to have a liking for Cedric, who also seems to like her. It's all part of Marie's slow transformation.

Well, as they say, "Better late than never." I apologize that I'm so far behind on reviewing and won't likely ever get completely caught up. I've been in Las Vegas for over a month and time has been limited. I'll do my darnedest to get caught up. Thanks for sharing.

Hey, no worries, Ric. You can always just read the chapter recaps if you don't have time for whole chapters.

I want to read the book hole story, Jim. I’m just sorry I can’t keep up right now.

This is another excellent chapter. I have a question. Are they talking about the Dyprexa antidote? I do not see any need for improvement. The lesson went well for Marie. Have a blessed day.

Well, we've got two things going on in this story (three if you count Marie's part so far). They are the Dipraxa antidote which is what Brian's team of himself, Abby, and Patty were developing and we will get back to in chapter 32, and then Big Pharma's attempts to stop the testing of Glyptophan--Brian's successful drug that is currently undergoing human trials. The first part of this particular chapter dealt with this latter plot of stopping Glyptophan.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

I enjoyed reading but I'm not exactly sure how the violin lessons fit into the story, but I'm sure I'll soon find out. Thank you for sharing this post with us.

Thanks, Barbara. The violin lessons, by themselves aren't really a part of the other plots going on (stopping Dipraxa, Big Pharma's fight against Glyptophan), but are intended more as a mechanism to show Marie's character development. She becomes an important character later in the story, and this is just part of her transformation. Plus, I just enjoy writing about her relationship with Cedric!

Hello Jim,
I'm loving the way Marie is coming out of her shell and actually helping someone else. Perhaps there is hope for her after all. She even has a sense of humor, how refreshing. Well done my friend.
Have a blessed evening.

Thanks, Tom. The Grinch is starting to have a good side to her now with Brian and Julia's (and the baby's) help. Cedric has a way of bringing out that good side.

Dana's fake recording seems very dodgy. Surely that won't go well for Fran. Its seems like Dr Schmidt and Cedric will get on well as teacher and student and I liked their interaction as they said goodnight. A good read Jim.
Cheers

Thanks, Valda. The recording was just for Merra to be convinced Tony actually did what he was paid for. It's the text message that contains it as an attachment that was needed by Fran to work her magic and attach spyware to. She will then forward it to Merra in order to bug his phone, which they have a warrant to do.

Some of my favorite parts of the story are those scenes between Marie and Cedric. Glad you're enjoying them too, Valda.

This was another delightful chapter for your book! I like how you really give us the details of a music teacher and convinced me that Marie and Cecil are really having a music lesson. Sounds like both will be successful!

Thanks very much, Helen. So glad you enjoyed the violin lesson. It does seem like they bring out the best in each other and are on the right track... for now.

I hope the sound effects of a beating keep Meara from hiring someone to do more damage to Brian. Marie and Cedric have an unusual relationship. He is proving to be a very apt violin pupil, but they will probably continue to insult each other at the door.

Good point. Hopefully he'll stay with Tony until they nail him.

Somehow, Marie and Cedric seem to understand each other and bring out the best in each other. Let's hope this continues for both their sakes.

A lovely piece of imaginative subterfuge used here which we hope will do the trick. Dana's certainly very optimistic. And then, our dear Marie! I could almost see her having a little fling with Cedric, there's so much teasing going on. Some clever light relief, anyway, to balance what is building up to be quite a tense period in the execution of this project. Well done, Jim, for keeping this original and intriguing story very much on track. Take care Debbie

Oh, naughty thought about Marie and Cedric! That did cross my mind too, but it was just a passing thought. You're right, Debbie, this is the calm before the storm of the Dipraxa mission which begins in chapter 32. Thanks for your great review.

Two very contrasting episodes here Jim, with somebody threatening Brian to not do any more human trials with the drug. Contrasting with a pleasantly surprised Marie at Cedric's sense of pitch and a stern warning to practise, well dine, blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy. I'm glad you appreciated the contrasting parts of this chapter. Cedric seems off to a good start in learning the violin from his surprising teacher and friend, Marie.
