He loves the fun as well as the challenge of it, though I have to imagine that with the size of that beautiful creature, a rabbit would be like a Swedish meatball to us of the human variety. Yikes, but he's substantial. Kind of lovable/goofy, too, yes?

Cute Nonnet. You're into "counting syllable" poetry these days and up for every challenge...and meet them with aplomb and panache! You are a FORCE! xoxo

    Rachelle,

Thank you for the great review. I appreciate the compliments. I am trying to write different styles of poetry. It's easier than the straight rhyming ones.

Hahaha -- I can picture this so easily! Those rabbits are big teases, too -- they'll taunt and run, then pop into a hole in the ground faster than you can say, "Here, Kratos!"

Well done!

    Dawn,

Thank you for the great review. Chasing rabbits is one of Kratos' favorite activates. It keeps him lean and mean.

Kratos reminds me of myself in my youth full of salt and vinegar chasing skirts until this one said "I do."
What kind of pooch is your dog. Corso...? He looks very strong.

    Tom,

Thank you for the wonderful review. He is a Pit Bull. He has the sweetest disposition, they are so misunderstood.

Our son's dog goes nuts with rabbits, squirrels and just about anything with fur and tail. When they want to run, they fill! And she's a big dog like Kratos!

    June,

Thank you for the great review. Kratos is 100 lbs pure muscle. I would not want him chasing me. He really is a big scaredy cat though.

Love the image. Reminds me of when I owned dogs. The long walks on the beach and the chasing of birds of all sorts. Well done, and the different formatting works well. Keep writing.
Take care.

That certainly sounds like certain types of dogs. Those rabbits just can't stand to let the dog win. The fact that some dogs would eat them might have something to do with it. Kratos looks like a rabbit hunter. Your poem is amusing as the dog just can't pass that fence. He's a good boy.

    Carol,

Thank you for the great review. I'm glad the rabbits have a head start. If Kratos ever caught one it would be a blood mess.

This photograph and your poem reminds me of my dog "Tobias, which means 'gift from God' which he is NOT" He will chase rabbits, squirrel's and cranky crows. Don

This lively nonet shows the fun and the frustration of the animals. The rabbits are having fun taunting the dogs, and the dog is determined to catch them some day. But the dog enjoys the chase, too. The mix of feelings in this poem works well.

Your poem and your picture reminded me of my father's pack of rabbit hunting beagles. When they spotted a rabbit in the woods, they were a sight to behold as they ganged up and surrounded the poor rabbit.

Kratos has the most fun in the chase, but what would he do if he caught one?

    Nicki,

Thank you for the lovely review on Kratos. He would be a bloody mess if he ever caught a rabbit. It would be party over for the bunny.
