Lol. Awwww. Sweet Miranda is looking out for Aaron. And I'm worried that he's saying things like "New York Times" when it's his first foray into writing. But the sense of community and the comments on prayer are precious!
Sorry I've been out until this week. Will try to get back into things.

I enjoyed this chapter which provided us with a little diversion from the main plot. Aaron is always enjoyable to read about, and now he's really into his story. (I've kind of forgotten what it's about, though.)

Miranda, being the sweetie that she is, seeks to help him with it by enlisting the aid of a ghost writer, and her knowledge of human nature allows her to succeed in this scheme, probably. Nicely written, Gretchen.

"I owe you a favor?"
("I've been two) very good stories for you"

Excellent chapter. I feel bad for Waylon and Dougie. They are lucky to have Miranda.

Well done, Gretchen. :)

Miranda is clever enough to create a bit of a bait to make someone interested in doing something that she can help with a friend, like Colleen. Miranda really does have street smarts, but well meaning, I'd rather have her on my side that against me, well done, Blessings Roy

When I came to the part where you mentioned the guy was nice and single but doesn't know a comma from a semi colon, I thought you might be talking about me. But you clarified it quickly when you said he was cute and rich, which leaves me out of the equation. :-) Thanks for sharing.

It's so nice of Miranda willing to help Aaron and this book. Mitch and Aaron are interesting together. I'm glad Miranda called Mitch, the man of her dreams.

He gets a little spark in his eyes and I know seeing Aaron is helping him get his mind off his father. (eyes, you switched subjects)

I walk towards the door when I see headlights flicker across the living room wall. (US toward, UK towards)

I always get quickly engaged in your chapters, Gretchen! It's the dialogue and subtle humour with Mitch (roll papers) and Miranda I particularly enjoy. And the characters are always so real with life going on without the big subjects of Dougie and the school teacher really making much headway. But Miranda has her plan and we have to wonder if that will bear fruit. Thank you for sharing your enjoyable chapter. Take care Debbie

Nicely written, Miranda is direct but she sure is an expert on handling the people she cares about. She may not be so fond of Colleen after the news story but she handly her well getting help for Aaron.

Nicely written.
I don't see Miranda inviting Aaron in for ice cream.
Sometimes it's almost nerve wrecking - wracking or racking
Best wishes.
