Hi Carol,
I was so charmed by this story, it made my heart sing!! As you know, I often fall behind on reviewing, and for reasons that vary from day to day. So, picking up right here on the story, and because of the way it was written, it was easy to understand and get caught up on. It's a great inspiration for another fantasy writer.
Love and hugs,
Rhonda

It's so good that you brought grandma into the mix, she too has been aware of the power of the mirror to be able to enter the realm of trolls and fairies, sorcerers and witches, a magical workf of adventure, Margaret is proud of her charges, beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy

As you always seem to do, you've taken me way back in time to one of my favorite books ever. The heartbreaking part is I can't remember the author or the title and Google can't seem to help me find it with subject matter. The book is about a bouncing ball inside a television screen that entices a young child inside. Yes, it's evil. But I'd give anything to find it again. The mirror reminds me of it. Thanks for sharing.

Might it have been The Changeling? I too have a son who once watched every horror show that existed. LOL
He didn't get that craziness from his mother, I assure you. I can get close to the edge but there will be no jumping off....
Smiles, Carol

I remember The Changeling, and I enjoyed it. But the book I'm talking about was written in like the 1950's I think. I'd give anything to find out. It's one of my favorite books of all time. I didn't read it until about 2002. Hugs, Ric

It is fun to see that their Grandmother knew what they were doing because she had visited the fairy land herself and had adventures. It turned out her best friend from long ago was grandmother to two naughty trolls who were planning to have her for dinner.

A good way to bring variety by adding an adventure for Grandma to the mix , along with the discovery that she herself has had plenty of adventures in the forest in the past. It was also a good affirmation of the children's adventures including their qualities of courage and kindness.
Well done.

This is another good chapter. It is odd, I never cared for fantasy until I got here. It is 23%, sunny and no snow today. I have two electric blankets na two heating pads, I am prepared. Karen

It is amazing how children always think they are the first to discover something, rarely realizing that parents and grandparents have already "been there and done that." It's good Margaret will keep her secret that she is familiar with the twin's secret.

Well, this is a nice surprise, to learn that Grandma has been through the mirror herself as a child, and she has made a friend in Greta.
Suggestion: 'They'd better not be in that attic (again)' -- delete 'again,' since the story has not reflected that Margaret knows the children have been through the mirror. Unless I missed something.... Another fun adventure! Blessings. Carol

Carol,
The plot twist. Grandma has been in the mirror herself. What a small world it is. Are you going to keep going with this saga or on to something else?
Great job my friend

I hope that wasn't the last one? But if it is, what a lovely way to end it. It will leave it open for another book, adventures with Grandma! It's funny that as we grow older we stop believing in magic, it's not until something happens, like those naughty trolls, that bring it all back. Loved this my clever friend. :)) Sandra xxx
