I enjoyed reading your story. It is very interesting and so descriptive. I could follow along easily. Well written and good story line.

I love Miranda's analysis and reasoning. She recognizes that sometimes more than just logic is needed, but that being a "what if" person can lead you to the answers more effectively.
I loved the compassionate way she discusses the situation with Waylon and does her utmost to spare his feelings. She seems to know just what to say to him.
Very well-written chapter, Gretchen.

Thanks so much, Jim. I probably watched too many horror movies in the 70s and 80s. I always get spooked in hospitals at night. Lol. Gretchen

I can't wait to find out what happened to Dougie and everything. I agree with Miranda the pieces are fitting just right. Something is missing. You're doing a wonderful job writing this.

Sometimes we think of people like Tomlinson as low lifes that don't deserve to live, but everybody deserves a chance to live out their lives, as long as they live it with a degree of circumspection, beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy

Every life matters but if we don't punish some, more innocents are hurt. Thank you for this. Gretchen

This is really quite creepy for Miranda. She needs to know everything and won't be content before she does. An interesting contrast with the way that Mitch thinks - a woman has much more lateral thinking and imagination, not so bound by rules, perhaps? You've set an intriguing scene now, Gretchen. We'll see Miranda come into her own. Thanks for sharing. Debbie
He could weasel out of (any) anything (redundant 'any')

I have to agree with Miranda. I can't see Dougie doing that, he is too weak to go that far. And, if he did hammer Tomlin to death, why was he be beaten unconcious and by whom? Mitch must think of these things. This was another great chapter, my friend. Well done, can't wait to read on. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

Yet another complication added to Miranda's over complicated life. Joan ( dragon poet) was in Florida on vacation, when her brother-in-law died in his sleep. If you know her drop her a line if you can. Karen

So glad we are back on the Miranda saga again. This was a good read. I might have to check and see whether I missed a chapter. I presume Dougie beat Tomlin up or something? I now have read the previous chapter. Sorry I missed it.

Thank you so much. It appears that Dougie was the culprit but Miranda has her doubts. Thank you for the excellent rating. Gretchen
