It's amazing how ghosts have their own world too... remember the story where the bad ones were in the mansion and it collapsed. Evil seems to dwell every where. But love, truth and belief will always save the day.

A great beginning to a new novel, and a continuing of the story of these beloved characters. I'm glad Jenna is prodding Donatelli toward marrying Jenna. It's interesting how Eleanor hears the voices of those who need her at the moment. Blessings. Carol

Eleanor has always been favored with being able to sense when someone she cares about is in trouble and needs her... she doesn't always know the details but she is alerted to a problem.

Thanks so much Valda.... I've got to get myself back into the writing mode after traveling home from the grandchildren and settling into this cold weather. Appreciate the review and your kind thoughts. Take care.

Well, I've never been one to believe in ghosts, and I'm not the type to be open to new thoughts. But I must admit, strange noises and voices have a new appreciation since I've been reading your stories. :-) Thanks for sharing.

Hmmm. I've had several people tell me that I've made them have second thoughts about "ghosts". I try to make mine nice ones, but I think that thought is going to get derailed in this story.

Oh, you are so sweet. What a wonderful way to start off the morning. There's going to be several plots unfolding at the same time and this old brain needs to keep it straight... Wish me luck on that one! I love Eleanor and the gang so I am looking forward to the write.
Thanks for the support and the stars!

I'm really glad that Matthew is ok after what happened to him in the last book in the series and that his relationship with Jenna is back on track, I'm looking forward to seeing if there will be a wedding for them in the near future. A well written piece, Carol, I enjoyed reading it.

Matthew has always carried a bit of a chip on his shoulder so it might get a little rocky now and then, but having a baby may mellow him too. Besides Danni and Eleanor will keep him in line. LOL Thanks for enjoying the beginning of the book.

This is a fine chapter. I felt every little detail was a teaser of something that will come back up us as the story progresses.
Who is the boy? Whatever will that letter reveal? Why is the mansion unkempt? Something is demanding Miriam's attention!
Oh! The key! Geez! It's only chapter one and already I'm taking notes!

Hope I gave you enough what-ifs and hmmm I wonders to keep you interested as we move ahead. There will be several plots unfolding at the same time but in the end, they most likely will be twisted together. Who knows? Not me...at least not yet. LOL
Thanks for the review and comments.

Oh, yes! There was AA "clue" in every. Line!

You don't give your readers an opportunity to come up for air. Every chapter is packed with action. What happened to Miriam? She's a ghost and should be able to float through walls. What has held her captive? I look forward to knowing what Eleanor discovers.

That's right...she is a ghost so how could she disappear or beheld captive? Interesting and definitely dark. Hope you love this book as much as the others. Thanks as always for being my support system.

What a fine chapter! Your detailed derscriptions really bring each scene to life, and your writing is impressive. The chapter starts comfortably, but changed to high drama and tension, and a good hook at the end. Well done.

Thanks, Wendy! Didn't want to drop the dark doom and gloom on you with the first breath, but of course we both knew it would be there. I hope you enjoy this story as much as the others. Thanks as always.

Everyone is happy to see Donatelli back at work, although Jenni is talking about a wedding. Eleanor abruptly leaves and goes to Rebecca's mansion, which looks oddly forlorn. Something is very wrong when Eleanor can no longer here Mariam calling for her.

Yup! Something definitely isn't right at the estate and things re going to start twisting and turning soon. As for Donatelli - can he knock that chip off his shoulder long enough to be a husband and father? I hope so.
