What a lovely post. I am a nature lover and I love to watch the squirrels scurry about the yard on hunting mission for food. They are fun to watch.
Well done and good luck in the contest

Thanks Joan! Happy new year to you too!
I agree with you. Squirrels are such elegant animals as well as athletic ones. They can climb trees and perform different tricks to get a nut. It is interesting and exciting to observe how they do it. I love them.
Thank you and happy new year to you too. What a great way to start the new year!
Best regards
Peter

You're welcome on all counts, Peter.
Squirrels are fun to watch until you do something to make them mad and then they freeze where they are and make a screeching noise. I once saw a squirrel do this to a bird make too much noise, I guess.

Thank you for your review Dolly,
It seems you appreciate squirrels' lively antics and the joy they bring through their brave and daring movements. This is a charming reflection of how simple, everyday moments can bring joy and wonder. Nature truly has a way of captivating us.
Some folk see squirrels as vermin - not me. I love to watch them.
Take care

Your poem is beautiful. I love how you describe squirrels as "nature's acrobats". The short lines give it a light and playful feel. It's like watching squirrels dart through the trees! It's a delightful moment you've captured in just a few words! Keep up the great work!

I am glad you enjoyed the poem and the image of "the acrobats of nature." It is entertaining to observe the squirrels and to attempt to capture their playful nature in a short poem. I think that they are fascinating to watch.
