I definitely saw that as a genuine conversation between a long-married husband and wife, where she's seen that side enough times and isn't having it. It's because that type of conversation is so typical of a normal couple that the ending caught me (and, I'm sure, every other reader) so completely by surprise. Great twist! Good luck in the contest.

I definitely saw that as a genuine conversation between a long-married husband and wife, where she's seen that side enough times and isn't having it. It's because that type of conversation is so typical of a normal couple that the ending caught me (and, I'm sure, every other reader) so completely by surprise. Great twist! Good luck in the contest.

This is really amusing. At first I thought it was a mother talking to her husband, then I thought son, then I giggled a lot as I figured out who was talking to whom. Actually, I would have made it a male president-elect, but that might have gotten you in trouble with a certain part of the membership.

It could be Bobby and me. He presents to the general public like a serious, quiet accountant...but he's quite silly and untameable. (They're my two favorite of his traits.)
