I hear you had to have a pacemaker put in, so first off I want to say you are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through it. My dad had a couple of them put in over the years, so you should be OK. Second, your story illustrates with plenty of personality, the fact that sometimes a little determination goes a long way to overcome cold shoulders. It's easy to just your back and walk away. But the rewards come when you stick with it, break through the ice, and regain the love of your life. estory

I do enjoy a story with a happy ending! I guess Rhomas was looking out for his brother but could've maybe been more understanding... we'll never know. And now, so what! You've been married how many years???
I just read a post from Helen and her notes indicated you were hospitalized and had a pacemaker "installed"..

That's nice thst you knew whom you wanted to marry, some girls aren't quite sure, but you are "sticker", one who is sure of what she wants and doesn't want, I had a girlfriend who I was sure I was going to marry as a teen, but she wasn't, and them there was Elaine, God's choice, and I'm glad of that, well done, blessings Roy

Oh my word! That could easily have gone the other way. But once you had told him you loved him and want to marry him NOW, things immediately changed for the better. His brother was a real stirrer, you had explained to him and he still wanted to cause trouble. This was a really good chapter in your life, and Evan won a very loving, very strong, determined wife! I remember how your future brother-in-law snitched on you about being with all those guys in the restaurant. I guess Evan was sure you were going to break up with him and you surprised him with the marriage proposal which changed the world for him! I was chuckling all through your retelling.

Thank you Helen for the review. I started passing out Friday and had to go to the emergency room and have a pacemaker put in I just got it this morning so I'll probably be off fans for a while. Beth
