What an idyllic setting your words paint here, and the connection with the 7-7 you provided, fat frogs as to suggest they have secured their fill, very well written and presented****kahpot

Another fine write, Gypsy......and I find mating rituals nature's way of saying, "look at my package, baby, get it while it's hot, or I'm arrested
. Guess I better put some pants on!"

I do believe that crane probably has some moves using the moon for a spotlight. I can't believe any different. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem and presentation with us.

love image of the moon as a spotlight
and a crane using it while preparing for mating--
nice mating/wading near rhyme, too...
cool alliteration with moves and moon
smooth flow throughout
and no spag or typos

thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the definitions of cranes and herons. To me they look very similar but now that you mention it, they behave differently! I like the spotlight that the crane is enjoying to get the mate's attention!

Thank you very much, big sister. I have a hard time telling them apart.

I hope you had a good weekend. Mine went by too fast. This coming week is going to be short.

    Love

Oh no!! Please take good care of yourself. Do you have enough vitamin C and supplements? So many people here are getting some virus that affects their lungs. Will be praying for quick healing for your family and protection for you! 💖💞🙏

Thank you, big sister. I used to take vitamin C but I stopped. I will start again but we have a stomach flue. We all got it now. Atticus got it at school.

The crane here in this poem almost comes alive through the power of the effective use of language, as it 'performs its mating moves,'and in such a delightful setting.

A lovely follow-on Renga poem that highlights the pond, this time with a heron taking the starring role. Beautifully presented. Well done, Gypsy. Warm wishes Debbie
