I enjoyed your lune poem for the contest with a bonus of an acrostic poem as well. Vivid imagery in each line. Very nicely done.
Blessings

Hah! It's a Line Acrostic! Why not?
"Tin roof harmony" fills my auditory senses with sweet memories!
Your poem says so much more than the obvious!
Very cool....

An excellent entry for the Lune poetry contest. Very nice mental imagery in just a few words. I can almost hear the rain making music on the metal roof. nice acrostic also. good luck in the contest.

I thought I knew what a lune was - until I looked it up. The 1st answer, and most common is the region bounded by 2 circular arcs (the overlapped part with concave and a convex sides. The 2nd is a leash for a hawk. The 3rd is a fit of madness. Only coming in 4th do I get to 'American haiku', a poem of 3 lines.
And all my life I thought it referred to someone who was looney tunes. huh!
Oh, BTW - my wife and I love afternoon... --- never mind.
Best wishes.

I'm bad at spelling, I thought a lune was a water bird. Thank you for the kind review.

The first two lines of this poem flow and connect well. The last line says
it all! I really enjoyed the read of these words. Thank you for the author's
notes - they speak volumes! The artwork is interesting and goes well
with these words. Merry Christmas! Blessings, Maria

Nature tends to lend us a symphony of sounds if only we would take the time to stop and listen. Instead of fearing or hating the storm, listen and let it strum a new song. Beautifully said.

Your review made my day.

This is great! Both a lune and an acrostic -- how nice! Good musical references. Nice angle on the rain in the photo. We were blessed with three days of showers last week, and we dearly needed them. God's timing is always perfect! Blessings & merry Christmas! Carol

Hi Don,
Thanks for stirring one of my favorite memories from childhood. My father would take me and my sister to the barn during storms. We would sit on a bale of hay and listen to him tell stories with the backdrop of rain on the tin roof. It still gives me warm memories to hear it.
Merry Christmas,
Rhonda
