    Hi Yvette.
I am so pleased you were able to see this one before it went off into oblivion. I wanted to read your comments and perceptions of the poem. The watchman is clearly a component of both the OT and NT. Thank you for the wonderful review.

Cool! So neatly written. Just a suggestion, but here 'Security is fractured and outcast.' Maybe instead of outcast, outcasted? Just a suggestion, but anyways your writing is great! ~Tista

Robert,
This poem, based on a Bible verse, shows how important watchmen of souls are.
If he falters or fails to do his job, the city will collapse and lost souls will be the cost.
Awesome words, Robert.
Have a blessed Christmas!
Cindy

This is a fine poem, Zim. Your metre and rhymes are impeccable, the insight clear and inspiring and the artwork of course most apt.

Much enjoyed this. :)

    Hello Gloria
It is always a good day when I see you have read and commented upon something I've written or when I see something you've written that I could read and comment upon. Of course we have heard a picture is worth 1000 words. I talked CoPilot into that picture with fewer than1000 words. Thank you so much for your positive comments. I value your opinions and observations of my writing. Thank you very much. It is great to hear from you. Thank you so much for the six-star review.

The Master and his Watchman are bound together in a mission to keep humanity safe. If these warnings are heeded, lives will be preserved. The question is - who will listen to the Watchman?

The Watchmen treks atop the guarding wall.
His vision strains so keen within; without.
His task ensures the city will not fall.
While shadows down below move all about.

His orders from the Master are so clear.
For those inside the wall; erase their fright,
and keep the people safe without a fear.
Preclude their breathless times, both day and night.

The Watchman knows responsibility.
Instructions from the Master are so hard.
The Watchman must defend humanity.
And keep the people safe within the yard.

Unless the Watchman's task is clear and fast,
the people lose their safety if he fails.
Security is fractured and outcast.
The darkened air will fill with screams and wails.

The Master and the Watchman have a bond.
Their purpose is to make all lives secure.
When people choose their way and then respond,
all precious lives and souls shall then endure.

Hello Robert,
I suppose on the one hand, we're all watchmen, tasked with warning the world of the dangers of turning from the Lord. It's a warning that often goes unheeded, as so many people don't want to change their lifestyles. Nonetheless, God will continue to call until the end. Thanks for sharing.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

    Hello Tom.
I agree with your assessment that we are all Watchmen. The one God and Ezekiel are speaking about is a very special one that has application in both the OT and NT. Thank you for your great words.
