A beautiful tribute to both your Grandma and your Grandpa and to all the souls that left this world leaving so many others behind... Well done for the contest here. Thanx for sharing and good luck! ;)

My dad was at Dunkirk in northern France at the beginning of the conflict in WW2 when 300,000 British soldiers were evacuated, he survived, but was rendered deaf because of the bombs. Beautifully and memorably written my friend, beautifully piece of writing, well done, blessings Roy

I really enjoyed your poem. The way you describe your Nana's love story is beautiful. I can feel the weight of her memories in each line. The writing is excellent. Especially like "oceans of tears inside each one" which hit me hard in the best way. Your poem feels full of warmth and it's clear how much this story means to you. Keep sharing such heartfelt writing - it's really moving!
