Eileen, you've pretty much captured every nightmare I've ever had in eight syllables. To answer your question, we're generally running from our own fears and insecurities but, as I've discovered, it's very hard to outrun yourself. It's amazing how much introspection eight syllables can prompt. Nice job.

My pleasure. You put a lot of pressure on eight little syllables, but they certainly lived up to expectation. 👍

It is really tough to create an impact itself. Few syllables eight altogether, not a lot. But your poem conveys a message very well! Escape, rain cookie, maybe because I know about that.
I think it's great poem and great entry and well deserved the six. Due to the challenges, this poem presents. You did a great job all the best and good luck in the contest!

Your poem is short but packs a punch! I love how it captures the intensity of trying to break free in just a few words. The last line - "Escape!" feels like an exclamation mark. It's amazing how much emotion you shared in such a small space.

Unfortunately, some people are always trying to run away, though find it so hard to escape, hi, I just came across your latest chapter (49/50) I think of your story, and decided to check out your portfolio so I could go back to the beginning, I don't often read stories/prose, but this one intrigued me, it will take me some time, but I will see how it goes, this 2-4-2 poem
is quite powerful, best wishes for your contest****kahpot
