Ha, ha, ha. Very good, very cute. You know that your SOTU always calls snow, the other four-letter word. I especially liked:

Who needs Jack Frost to deck the halls
Let's kick him in his cold snow balls

(Or throw a pot of hot water on him--if that would make the snow go away.)

A fun poem that made me smile and laugh. Xo. M

Hey Sis, I knew you just had to review this and if you didn't pretty soon, I was going to come and tell you to get over here and do it. Because if I could have I would have dedicated it to you? But I know how you don't like to fly above the radar. And I know we both felt the same way about snow so I am so glad you are here. Thanks so much for the fun idea of throwing hot water on him instead. Haha. I so appreciate all the fun comments! Love ya, Debi

A really fun poem, hard for me to imagine when we are being presented with early summer temperatures. Were I live there is no snow even in the middle of winter but being a small country we don't have to travel far to find some. Nice rhyming in your smile on face story Cheers Gaye

Hey Sweetie, I thank you so much for your awesome review and such kind words. I had some fun doing this because it was so out of character for me. I guess I needed a change. And thanks for the six stars. You are the Best!! So thanks again, my very dear friend,

Hello Debi,
this was great! I loved the way you described the winter. Though I live in Alaska, I think where you are might be colder. I just think it doesn't start as soon or last as long as what we get. I have cleats for the ice, and snow tires as well as a snow blower and ice chipper if I need it. For the first time in my life I even have a garage, and it has a heater! No more cleaning off the car and trying to start it out in the cold.
I've lived in the south- Key West and Charleston, as well as Ohio, which is of course south of Alaska. Every place has it's good points and bad. I may have to start taking off for a warmer climate for a few weeks out of the year, but that too has it's problems. What a great poem gal. Well done.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

The four letter words of cold and snow are not my friends either, though I love to see the snow's white beauty adorning the landscapes and roof tops. Your poem is penned with a gilt of humour. Thanks for sharing your world. Well done, dear Debi

Thanks for the reminder of the cold weather to come. For, I must cover my hands to make the balls to throw and cover mine that shall not shrivel to grow. I'm getting old and gravity brings them ever so slowly to a frozen ground below. Keep warm and always looking forward to your poems.

Hi Debi,
I just found this poem buried in the middle of all my messages. I'm so glad I found it. How fun!! I do hate the cold!! I agree with the four letter word part of it, lol. The last line is just plain hilarious!! Thank you for the winter smile.

Big hugs,
Rhonda

I completely agree. I hate winter, it's only redeeming quality is that it helps us appreciate spring more. This poem is delightful, and very relatable. Hope you have a,wonderful holiday. : )

Well where you are living near Duluth, it has to be even colder than where I am closer to the cities. You must see those minus 70 degrees windchills more often than I do coming off the lake?
Thanks so much, Sharon, as I truly appreciate your comments. Most of it tho was fun, but also serious too. Thank again, my dear friend. Love, Debi

This was a fun read. It was not in my box. What happened? We don't get snow. How is the eye stuff doing?
After the first of the year my my sisters have been encouraging me to get my back checked out again. They say surgery has probably advanced in 24 years. Who knows? Happy Holidays. Karen

Karen, that is so weird that it was not in your box. But thank you for finding it anyway.
You know if surgery can help you I say good luck, Hon. I have had two major ones and I am thinking I am too old now or I would consider it too. It is true that not all of them are alike. The ones where you have to wear the Turtle shell is the worst. Anyway like I said, good luck and I will be praying for you.

I am on Oxervate for my eye now, the same thing Judiverse is on and will be having a cornea transplant when it is done. I don't know how soon as they just said when it is done.

The first back surgery was really rough. I was 20 and had a toddler. I had to wear a cloth and steel bar contraption all day. I was miserable. If all they can offer is a new kind of pain, I'll skip the adventure. I'll pray for your eyeballs. :-)

I can't begiin to imagine temps like that or how you get around safely when there's all that snow around. It does look pretty in pictures though. I enjoyed your chilly rhyming poem Debi, while I sit here in Townsville's heat. Nicely done,
cheers,
valda

Hey Debi this is it's very funny. I like it a lot I feel bad for you though, having to live where it gets that cold. In 1992 Kathy and I left Michigan and we haven't been back during the winter. We live in Georgia and that gets cold enough for me yesterday morning it was 26° here. That's definitely too cold. Thankfully it was 60 today. Great job, great humor. Thanks for Sharing Sis.
