Last year, some of the residents in my community posted funny pictures of their elf on a shelf as they put it in funny positions in their house, like sliding down a banister, sitting on top of the toilet tank, or holding a cookie.
Your Tinsel is just as funny as he adds Christmas joy and smiles. I liked the idea of each child singing their favorite Christmas song. This story puts us in a festive mood. Best wishes in the contest.

Thanks Lorraine...We had the elf being tied up by a gallon of milk. Carissa drew his eyes and wrapped a bandana around the jug. The note read...The milk has gone bad.

Great characterization and a magic story.
Christmas is a magic time . I'm remembering all the wonderful Christmases I had as a child. We kids would wait to hear reindeer's hoofs on our roof: bits of coal thanks to my creative mom and dad who told us Santa wasn't coming in til we fell asleep.
Your story brought back wonderful memories for me.

Aww, I never did stop believing. All my friends at school stopped, but I didn't, I knew if I stopped believing I wouldn't get any more presents!!! It did stop though, so I guess I was on his naughty list! Lol.

This is a very delightful Christmas story and I love stories like this. It is so positive and its attitudes and I also enjoy that very much in this world today there are so many who are negative and when I hear or read positive things it lightens my heart, a great deal. Patricia

I know I feel regenerated at least for the moment. I'm going back to surprise them for Christmas since my daughter here as informed me they won't be coming to my house... all is good!

This is such a sweet Christmas story. The Elf come to life and giving the children their belief back in Christmas miracles, even with they are older, is a neat idea, probably a Christmas story winning idea.
