An excellent read, I would love to see this put into stanzas, yet the length of your poem does work, as it rhymes and flows effortlessly, the curse of treasure has found many a seeker caught out, I am glad this one will remain, very well done, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Your poem is so enjoyable! You drew me right into the shadowy woods. The flow of your lines had such a beautiful rhythm. I loved the way you built suspense leading to that poetic twist at the end. Truly enchanting work!
