Hummingbirds in a race
Chase those who are pursued-I got a kick out of this line as these little birds are quite territorial. I love to watch them. This is a wonderful, warm piece you've crafted on nature. One never tires of nature. Thank you for sharing,Cecilia.

    Thank you for the wonderful review. I love the hummingbirds. In the summer and fall I have about 6 or 7 feeder up for them. A couple of years ago we had a glittering of them. There was anywhere from 80 to 100 of those sweet little birds stopping by on their way south for the winter. It's was amazing.

    It was a sight to see. I wish I would have had my phone to take pictures. The nice part was the whole family was out there that evening, so we all got to see it. Memories.

This is a poem in that classic pastoral romantic tradition, in a classic rhymed quatrain format, that celebrates the nature in which our experience of life is so intertwined. You have some great colorful images, lots of flowers, birds, the power of the rising sun, that are such transcendent images in our culture. They speak of hope, freedom, the joy of living. estory

This is nice nature themed poem. Your syllable count is six for each line and the rhyme is nice. Your poem takes us throughout the day and into the night. I enjoyed reading it.

I enjoyed this lovely nature poem very much. It is no secret I'm a watcher of sunrises and sunsets... just about every day of the year, and I constantly marvel at the unique beauty of each one. God is such a creative artist, we never lack for something new to enjoy and appreciate. Thanks for this creative poem and for the thoughts so adroitly expressed. MM
