a great Christmas poem loved this lines
Down Main Street, we come, and I'm leading the way. To the town's Christmas Tree, we dance and play. Once around the tree, the happy creatures sing with glee. Back home again, I glance down the street at my friends, never wanting this night to end.

This is a really cute entry for the Christmas Poetry contest, Mike. I wish you "Good Luck!" with it. It's like a dream you're having on Christmas Eve, complete with Santa's sleigh and reindeer, and even an elf. Yet you can hear excited horses nearby. You can even hear a train whistle!
Suddenly, there's a growling Grinch, Cindy Lou Who, and Winnie the Pooh! Is it a Christmas miracle or just a fantastic dream?
Christmas Eve is full of magic. I had my own experience when I was 11 or 12 years old, back around 1962. I heard the whole thing on our rooftop... the reindeer hooves, sleigh runners, and bells! Ten minutes later, they took off the other end of the roof. It was all so real. I swear it happened. And I've relived the event for the past 62 years!
Nicely penned, Mike!
Merry Christmas, buddy!
Cheers,
Kimbob

This would be a great children's Christmas story. All the characters coming to life on this holy night. Nothing is impossible. I really enjoyed this imaginative Christmas poem. Gretchen

I think it's a great whimsical piece that captures the sense of magic you get on Christmas. Great scene setting with the snow crunching underfoot, and the illuminated Christmas characters coming to life around you. I think it's a great tale for kids. estory

Magical and full of hopes and dreams of yesteryears when our childhood blossomed with love, faith, and imagination. Now as we age, our memories and stories fill in the gaps. Thanks for sharing.

This had a really happy, upbeat vibe to the poem. It was a good, jolly poem to get us into the Christmas spirit, in which I'm very happy that you referenced the savior's birth. Overall, a very good read. I especially enjoyed the lighthearted nature within your word selection.
