Hello Roy,
the great civilizations of the world have all fallen, largely due to pride and too much extravagance. God delights to bless us, but sometimes it can lead to putting the gifts above the giver and pride sets in, which inevitably leads to a fall.
Have a blessed day.

Hey there Roy. Just read your poem and I really like it. It's true. Fools don't learn and it's a rare wonder when one does. This one will definitely get a six.

History repeats itself time and again as governments and other congregations build what they believe to be an empire only to see it crumble in defeat. Only one empire..the kingdom of the Lord will remain standing regardless of what evolves around it.

This line of yours, "In placing faith in men's proud deeds will sow the seeds of weathered weeds." How true, man feels that his deed's and pride will set him or her free.

An excellent read, about the title, someone once told me that, that would depend on my interpretation of a fool, which made me think about it, though your words and message are very convincing, very well written****kahpot

Many an empire has fallen due to the excessive pride of its leaders. History continues to repeat itself, but humans have a difficult time learning from that. You used good rhymes and steady rhythm. Nicely done. Blessings. Carol

Nations who fall away from God will surely be destroyed. We were headed that direction. I am praying that we've now made a change. We'll have to wait and see. Thank you for sharing this poem with us.

We hear of the Seven Wonders of the ancient World, but where are they? So many nations and their monuments are gone. Yet, Christ stands and His Bible stands, and no power on earth can thwart them.

I love this one too, my friend. I would rather dwell among the humble than serve in the courts of a fool. The Lord is wise and gives wisdom to all that ask of Him. We need the Lord, His wisdom, understanding and righteousness.
Beautiful offering for my morning contemplation.
All my best,
Sal Xos

If we truly know who God is, we cannot live and not be humbled. Not just based on b the fact that He is,Almighty, but that He loves us so much that his son humbled himself gave his life for us. Nicely said.
