oooh this is an excellent haiku
love the image of reading about where you come from under the tree of life
i like all the flowers and colours, too - a nice touch
also like how the lines are in a box shape - like the stories are stored away for next time...
great one!! thank you for sharing!

Very beautiful and heartwarming Haiku that emphasizes the importance of heritage. I strongly believe that when we connect to our past we can better understand who we are. I have personally seen the power of this, when a young man's life was greatly improved through learning that he had people in his life that were great leaders, and compassionate motivators., long before he was born.
Well done.

Gypsy,
I am big into my ancestry, but my children and grandchildren do not share my enthusiasm. Regardless, your poem gives me hope that some day they will enjoy those chats about family.

How appropriate, I think it is important to know where we came from, and how we/our family came to be where we are now, and excellent haiku for the challenge club****kahpot

I love it! We need to do that more as reading to children builds their love of reading and you make it more wonderful because it's under the "tree of life" as generation to generation connect, it gives a stable and secure feeling for the child!
