a short but powerful poem about the power of recognition, love and kindness to overcome the power of hate, fear and despair that is all around us unless we do something about it to make a positive change.`

This is beautifully and poignantly presented to the extent it would be difficult to complement the image with the appropriate words in such succinct form. But you've nailed it, in my view, and made this into a winning contender! Well done, Kahpot, and good luck! Debbie

So may children are neglected, even those who have families. Thank you for bringing this problem to the attention of others in this contest entry. Good luck with the contest.

Hi Kahpot, in all my love for God sweet guy...
when it comes to children left behind...not seen...
I question Him...
but I feel He would rather know it bothers me...
than think I should turn a blind eye on them...
children are innocent...and be shown unconditional
love...
I love your poem my sweet friend...very well written...
and your picture speaks for itself...love Linda xxoo

As the adult, (hopefully) it is our duty to protect the child...the stories we hear of missing children, abuse, sex crimes, and so much more sends chills down my spine. The young need our watchful eye and count on us to be there to stop what happens. The picture and the words are moving.
Smiles, Carol

What a powerful poem. So many children suffer from abuse, poverty and crime. People The picture is a good choice for the words. Good luck in the contest.

This very brief, concise poem for the 2-4-2 contest prompt points out that people have to be mindful of the needs and rights of children. I liked reading it. It is a reminder to adults who are caught up in their own lives to be mindful of others.

Everything comes together quite nicely. Even the child in the pic shows some anxiety that fits with the theme so nicely.
Peace and joy in writing,
Aaron
