I think there's nothing quite as lovely as seeing a field of bluebells along the highway when you're driving through Texas. Now see, this is a fantastic subject for a sonnet, no its not a disjointed comment but a relevant reference LOL
You obviously have a love of all growing things, use that love and knowledge to weave a metaphor from the subject and then develop that though into the second stanza leading to a conflict in the third.
