That makes you sit up and wonder, can I? We all know we couldn't. Jesus suffered agonies so that His Father would take away our sins. Who else would do that? Your poem really brings it home just what God sent His Son Jesus to do for us. We can't let him down! Well done, my friend. This is a wonderful poem. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

Thank you for sharing the gospel and the reflection on the suffering of our Lord in order to pay for all of humanity's sins so that we can don His righteousness and be called children of God. Great meditation, Roy!

It's not difficult to imagine the problems we go through in life caused by our own hand. But the suffering and pain of Christ was not caused by his hand. It was our collective hands. I remember religious groups having a debate about who is responsible for Christ crucifixion. The answer is quite simple. We all are.

The author's words are sad, thought provoking and creative. Thank you
for the Bible quotes they compliment this poem. These words are a
reminder to me about how much Jesus suffered for us. The artwork is
perfect and go well with this poem.
Have a great weekend, Roy!

Jesus knew what was going to happen to Him and He accepted it as His fate. I agree, none of us could have withstood all He went through. And today many still don't fully understand the why. Thank you, again, for sharing this beautiful reminder.

Your poem here challenges us to be mindful of the suffering of Christ on our behalf. You ask these questions of how Christ can submit to this suffering again and again, all because of our sins. It hammers home the point. I like the opening line of that last stanza; "our flesh will come to nothing". There is also this challenge to look beyond what we can see to feel the spirit within us that is released when we pass from our bodies. estory

another masterful poem about the suffering of Christ and what it means t a Christian believer. I like these lines the best
Time returns our flesh to nothing,
from dust to dust we fade from view.
Yet God will not regret His offer,
and raise the faithful when time's due?

I can't either. I don't honestly know how Jesus did that for me ... for us. That's more love than heaven and earth can contain. No wonder a response is required. What a sacrificial gift!! Our salvation! Our atonement!! Our Jesus!! Beautifully written and illustrated poem of this phenomenon.
Sending you my best today as always, and blessings in the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is a fitting time, in the US, to reflect on the the sacrifice of Jesus and what it means to you as an individual, and to us as a nation. I know you are in Australia, but it is equally important make this introspección whenever in the world we may live.
