There are many great entries but I am a cat lover so yours stood out.

The hunting instinct is in their DNA. They are domesticated, they are our pets and we feed them but if they see a mouse, a bird, or a fish in a bowl they will go after them, they are prey to them.

Since I have two cats, I could identify with your couplet. The tempo is snappy and perfectly sums up a cat's busy day in such a humorous fashion. I could almost smell the dead mouse and the flopping fish. gayla
