Just a quick one while once again I'm play catch up.
"Mirian? She's not here --" Tango glanced into the rearview mirror but saw nothing; still, he sensed something. "Or is she?"
(Miriam)
Everything else looks good!

A great chapter Carol, full of emotions. I loved the reading of the old letters, and the poignancy, knowing the Miriam hadn't been given any happiness in her new life, only a violent death. Beautifully written.
cheers

Sorry I am so far behind in answering and thanking everyone for their kindness and enjoyment with the story. Three little girls (well not so little anymore) kept me very busy. I miss them already but thankfully I will surprise them for Christmas. Appreciate your time and thoughts as always.

This hit me somewhat hard. Having been given away at birth, spending the first two and a half years in an orphanage, only to be adopted at the age of 2 and 1/2, I could just imagine this. Now on to the next chapter. Hugs, Ulla xcx

Thank you so much, Ulla for your thoughts and the stars. I love it when my stories touch someone for personal reasons. It's like getting a personal hug from the characters. Thank you so much for the comments and the stars.

This chapter gave me cold chills and depleted the box of Kleenex. Now we know why Garth kept thinking Rebecca was so like Allie, although twins raised separately would also have some significant differences. Garth is going to need help seeing how rigid his thinking is.

I just finished writing the final chapter which I will post tomorrow. This story has had me using lots of kleenex too! I think you will love the upcoming chapters or I hope so. Thank you so much for all your support and I am thrilled for receiving a six. Thank you.... Guess who is 235 reviews behind....

The truth will set them free! The magic is you! How you so convincingly write of the "syndicate" while so tenderly keeping the parallel plots of ghosts and family and love lost even as new love blossoms is a joy to behold!
Garth has every right to his conflicted feelings...
(As long as you bring him through it in time for happy endings!)
:)

Always happy endings...Maybe being married to an Italian with connections might have left its mark on me... except I didn't get the happy ending. 50/50 is good! But in the end...I did get Mike and that was perfect...not nearly long enough but blessed.

Mike was the best, wasn't he? Sometimes we have to wait a long time to find the "perfect" mate for us. I wish you'd had much more time with him, Carol. I know you do as well.

Eleanor will help Garth to see that loving Rebecca is okay, and htat he is attracted to her for those same reasons he was attracted to Allie. A lovely chapter, filled with emotional tension.

I am so far behind on reviews as I try to finish this story within the deadline and enjoy being with my granddaughters. I have faithfully read and greatly appreciated each review. I am thankful for all the time, comments, and reviews everyone has given to my story. There is no way I can catch up on almost 250 reviews, so please accept my thanks and know that I truly appreciate that you have stuck with me throughout the story. Thank you.

There is real emotional depth in this chapter which I thought you brought to life really well, Carol, particularly when Danni was reading the letters. Another well written chapter, I really enjoyed it.

Wow, you certainly covered a lot in this chapter, and I'm just sitting here, still trying to take it all in. Head spinning, trying to catch up. Thanks for sharing another fine chapter.

Wow, Allie and Rebecca, twins! Amazing twist! I'm guessing Eleanor will be helping Garth sort things out for the best. Meanwhile, everyone's gathering to see the baby that Donatelli doesn't know about. Great chapter! Blessings. Carol

This was so sad an episode in the story but also so well written and handled.
You do your characters proud Carol.
And while you are at it, Tell Garth to stop being such a bloody plonka.
