This is a great short story. If I am catching the concept correctly you're talking about trees in the forest and their relationship to each other. This story flows nicely for start to finish.

Awesome comparison using the pine trees to symbolize the man and the woman and how she sacrificed herself for him, only to see how the other trees did it differently. In the end, he came to understand the problems. Well done.

What a lovely ending, personifying the trees is a marvellous idea, proverbs 31would describe her as being the selfless female, lifting and protection her loved companion and giving him the dignity, like all male partners, he is about to appreciate that, beautifully written blessings Roy

A good comparison in the way many relationships evolve. The two pine trees depict a man and a women . Also compares how their relationship is even while others around them, both partners stand tall side by side.
