Dear Cecilia,
Another wonderful poem from the depths of your soul. It is a daily struggle, I know. But it's a choice to choose the blue sky and sun and blow off the gray and go play. Thanks for sharing and beautifully so.

another powerful and moving poem about dealing with depression. I never feel depressed for long because when I feel depressed I look at my wife and my blues go away with her smile and love. I am blessed to have found her 42 years ago.

HI Cecilia, I would like to say I have
never been there...but that would be a lie...

I think Cecilia that there isn't a person on
God's green earth who hasn't suffered from
depression...

I believe we all go through times that are harder
than others...it's just life...and as we get older...the
chemical changes in our bodies don't help...to say the
least...all the ups and downs we go through...

I have a friend...I always thought she always had her
life in order...I just found out she is in therapy because of
her past...I can't say I wasn't shocked...but that's ok...
it's one day at a time...I guess confronting the problem
at hand is the first step...

just keep writing...girl you are a talented writer...publish
your writing...it may help...

though sad...I love your poem my sweet friend...and your
picture speaks for itself...very well written you...love ya...

    Linda,

You are so sweet for your kind review. Thank you for the compliment. I often question my ability to write. I have been trying out different styles of poems here lately. I would love to publish my poems. I don't even know how one goes about it.

I wrote that poem a few months ago, but I agree everyone experiences depression. Even those who appear happy all the time. Look at Robin Williams who would of thought the funny man would have committed suicide. You truly never know what someone is going through.

    Love ya my friend,

Hi Cecilia, you are so very welcome
    my sweet friend...
I was shocked when I heard about
Robin Williams...I always thought he was so happy...sigh...

you should ask some people on this
site to help you get started on writing
a book...I know they would help you...
    I have never written one...so I wouldn't have a clue...good luck you...love xxoo

My friend Begin Again has just published her first book. I am way out of her league. I want to write a book but I haven't really thought about my subject yet. I am just concentrating on my poetry right now.

This work has reached the exceptional level

It seems that the writer has reached the bottom of the stairs without any plan to ascend to her proper place as "Somebody."
" The Bible teaches: that whatever you do for the least of mine you do for me."

We all have periods of time when we believe that we are not somebody and that we have no future; too many faux standards.

Do not be swept into the standards set by persons that have no influence in your life.
" To thine own self be true.."

Do not embrace the challenges of others or seek to be a party to all political views or class standards that will not enhance your life.

Ignore the "click baits" of social media; walking is a good way to refresh your gyroscope.

You will find your way when you make choices. Do not give up on your own abilities and choices

I will pray for you..
.

The author's words are thought provoking, clear and creative. I found
this poem filled with meaning as life is tough sometimes. I like the
words the author used to keep going "keep thriving"! Great advice!
It is the only way. The artwork is awesome! Great Poem!

I think many of us go through these stages, and yet it is real. We want to give up, but then niggles come and take over, and we know we can't give up. There are people depending on us. Tomorrow always brings something that lightens the load. Your poem takes us through your emotions, and also take us to that point when you decide you want to go on and go out to play. Well done, beautiful poem, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

True the struggle is real ,hard and long .very often one does not know why one is crying.. Things become a bi too much of a burden and the thought 'for how long' keeps haunting one..the picture is great and you have done a great job..

This is an interesting narrative of the misery of depression. It is a burden to any life and pleads the case of how real it is and can be. Well written.

The struggle is real. It is poetry such as this that many can find solace. Words on a page can heal people and perhaps heal the author? I hope you find the strength to continue to share your poems. This is really great imo.

I am at a point in my life where I did connect with your poem. Life gets to be too much, and I just want to slow down for a while. The blue image fits perfectly with your work.
