How clever and lucky the bunny to escape the deadly chase of your Kratos who would stop at nothing to burying the poor bunny. I hope kratos recovered quickly from the hurt it suffered. Well done, dear Cecilia.

great poem about bunnies. Back in the day I lived in Suburban Virginia. We had problems with rabbits eating our garden. Then one day the rabbits were all gone. I went outside to get the paper and saw a strange looking dog. I realized it was not a dog but a coyote. That solved the mystery of the disappearance of the bunnies. BTW scientists now say there are two sub-species of coyotes - the traditional coyote and coydogs which are a hybrid of coyotes, feral dogs and wolves the Coydog has learned how to deal with humanity, including how to safely cross the road. Depending on the area coydogs are about 50 percent of the coyote population.

    Jake,

Thank you for the kind review. That is interesting about the coyote. I'm sure here in Texas we have our fair share of coydogs.

Nicely done. Rabbits eat our vegetables. When I grew lettuce I had to put up wire fencing. They starting hanging around the compost pile, and that was okay, I sure miss my garden. Happy torkey day. Karen

Hi Cecilia, so glad the rabbit was able to
escape Kratos...poor little think...

I had a Siamese cat once...he was sitting on
the front porch...a bird flew down low...and
he jumped off the porch and caught the bird in
med air...I took it to a forest preserve by us...
and they said they would take good care of it...

crazy circle of life...

I love your poem sweet girl...and so love the picture...
well written you...love ya Linda xxoo

    Linda,

Thank you for the wonderful review. When I was stationed in Hawaii I had a cat named Diablo. He used to climb the trees and kill the baby birds. One day I was out in the yard with him and the birds started dive bombing us. All because Diablo lived up to his name. He was a mean boy.

The author's words are interesting, descriptive and creative. I was able to
visualize a bunny running and protecting his life by the author's words.
The poem flows and connects. The artwork compliments the words of
this poem. Thank you for the author's notes - great description!
Have a great Sunday!....Maria

    Maria,

Thank you for the kind review. We tried to get a picture of the bunny wedged against the wall and the grilling chest, but weren't able to.

What a clever tanka story poem. I think this reminds me of a super update on the story of Peter Rabbit. Cute photo choice. I liked how the positioning of 'danger' and 'daily' help emphasize what the rabbit's life is really like.

It's a lovely ninja poem, Cecilia, and I am so pleased the little bunny was clever enough to get away and live for another day. It would be best if it stayed with mum for a while!! Lol. Warmest hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

Thank you for the kind review. The little bunnies need to stay on the other side of the fence. Kratos gets his exercise chasing them. They always win though.

I'm glad about that, Lol. My cat caught a baby rabbit once, it was years ago when my youngest son was about 6 years old. He chased our cat around the garden with a broom until it dropped the bunny. That was one very lucky bunny! Lol. He hasn't changed, he's 50 now! xx

    Sandra,

Those bunnies have to be smart to live. One day I was out mowing the lawn and I had to stop and pick up a dead rabbit. He had no head and I'm not sure what got him. He was and adult rabbit too.

Your son must be a nature lovers.

He is, so are his children. It's nice. My mother always said if a child is kind to animals they will grow up to be fine adults. He did. xxx

    Sandra,

True story. Psycho and sociopaths hurt and kill animals. Just how they start.

    That's true. And it's so awful. 😥

It is. It's like stupid people that use Pit Bulls to fight. They have no heart or are a closet psychopath.

I enjoy the rabbits in my yard and your words show how a baby bunny is often smart enough to run from predators. Your words create a vivid picture of nature.

Thank you for the kind review. The poor bunnies not only have Kratos chasing them, but Mr. Owl comes out at night for his snack. Survival of the fittest.

    Pam,

Thank you for the kind review. When I saw that little bunny with his feet braced against the wall. I thought what a great poem it would make.

    Sanku,

Thank you for the kind review. Yes, the bunnies give Kratos lots of exercise. They normally have a head start on him so it's funny to watch.
