This is very nicely written and it was a pleasure to listen to. I wish you the very best with your writing. I also wish you a wonderful weekend and may God bless you and keep you safe. Patricia.

I like your description of the Apocalyptic times. I have always wondered about the visions that St. John received but never agreed with any of the theories that various doctrines proposed such as premillennial, postmillennial etc. I believe no one will know the time or how but there will be judgment and the Lord will return.
In your notes:
classic images from Revelations (Revelation) Somehow everyone makes it plural.

Thanks for the excellent review and your perspective on the poem. I think we are already through about half of the apocalypse. Only the battle of Armaggedon and the last few plagues remain. I am beginning to understand the parable of the sowers too. When there is no more possibility of anyone else being saved, when Christianity and Judaism are about to be stamped out and forgotten, that's when the intervention will come. estory

What a scary picture you have painted at the end of the world. But it's very visual. I could imagine what you described. It's a lot like many classic paintings I saw in European museums. I like the dark but happy ending.
Well done.

Thanks for the excellent review and your perspective on the poem. I was scared too when I first read Revelation, and it is still the most frightening of the books of the Bible, but now I am beginning to feel that this will be a transition more than anything else. This is what I tried to get across in the ending of the poem. estory

That is an interesting technique that you described in the author's note. I'm not a poet so am glad you did. I did feel off balance reading the poem, but your explanation made it feel like an enriching technique.
I agree that Revelation teaches the end will be a purification of the earth by fire. Your only imagery I would quibble with, is that Revelation also portrays Jesus returning as a lion, or a conqueror. The shepherd imagery comes from the Gospels.
This was enjoyable to read and ponder!

Thanks for the excellent review and your take of the poem. I am glad that the visuals were so vibrant, I wanted to grab the attention of the readers and make them think. But I also wanted the ending to seem more like a transition to a new world, a new life. estory

When judgement day eventually comes there will be many who pay for their crimes against humanity. I enjoyed your descriptive word here to deliver your feelings here, love Dolly x x x

Dear poet, a very compelling
and biblical poem. The detail
is harrowing. Wondering if we
are in the end times. If you
ever enter this write in a contest, my very best wishes.
Have a mellow evening.

This poem would really get you thinking about the fate of the world we live in, there's no doubt there will be a shift kist like before many many moons ago, when will such a thing happen again, it's an unanswered mystery. We need to look after the earth more now for generations new. Well done, excellent poem, I like what you did with it

Thanks for the excellent review and your perspective on the poem. Once again, it seems I got people thinking, and I view that as a success. I wanted people to feel that this will be a transition to a new world and a new life. The ending here is important. estory

I can see here that a lot of thought has gone into interpreting Revelations and the day of Jud(gm)ent. You write here your own version, marking the end of what's gone before and the beginning of a new kind of life. An interesting read. Thanks for sharing. Debbie

You did an excellent job keeping us a little off balance. Revelations is a very hard book to completely understand, but you did a good job interrupting this part of it. Thank you for sharing it with us.
