First time I have read this since like the first two or three chapters. You have really upped Dodie Ray's game with her transformation capabilities. It seems likely she might someday live in a town with no abusive husbands.

A chapter of real contrasts here, Steve. Dodie Rae seems to genuinely care about Riley's fate and that he appears to be alright, and she also seems to admire Carey for his dedication to his partner. Yet, she's ever suspicious of him because she knows he's continuing the investigation of all the events Dodie Rae and now Bay Lynn have been involved in.
She certainly has her plate full with bringing justice to all these abusers and eluding the police while doing it. It will be interesting to see if they catch her and what they will do about her brand of vigilante justice.
Your good writing is keeping me interested and awaiting the next chapter, my friend. Great job.

Ha! It's too funny. I'm not sure how that happened, but I fixed it. Great catch. I love the word miscreants. Oh, there are plenty of them everywhere. I think Carey is a genuinely good guy. But only time will tell.
