This was good and full of hope and possible new beginnings for America to be great as it has many times throughout history. It is a fact the people have spoken and I pray for all our upcoming leaders. A lot of damage has been done and I may or may not see what lies ahead, but God willing and prayerfully so, many generations will. Honestly, it is concerning considering so many are still trying to walk with scales on their eyes. May we all who have been around long enough to remember when America was united, one nation under God, share what is important and what is true, Then they can rise up and be the warriors that will be needed....

Bless you, Jennifer, I'm with you all the way. I remember those days - grew up in them, and am appalled at the Americans who don't appreciate how fortunate they are. I read where Pelosi is trying to redo the election, and she's not the only one. I don't know all of Trump's picks, but those he picked first, I think are great and will do a wonderful job all together if they are not stopped.
Thank you so much for the lovely 6 and for your wonderful comments!

Thank you so much! I pray for it, too, and am so pleased at his progress and thoughtful picks for positions in or government. They should do an amazing job.

I enjoyed the sentiment here and agree with you Katharine. Trump is in control and Biden was a yes man, a puppet, as others pulled the strings. Let us hope that America gets on its feet and stops this inflation we are suffering and mends the wars around the world too. A poignant post. Love Dolly x x x

Thanks, Dolly. Trump isn't wasting any time and is trying to pick qualified people, which hopefully, he has. They should do an amazing job. We certainly need them to.

Hello Katharine,
I was wondering when I might hear from you. I'm always a little apprehensive when things go too well. I know that the president can put his foot in his mouth at times. However, aside from Matt Gaetz, I have not trouble with his picks. We can't change the way things are and have been for most of my adult life, if we keep on the way we are. The establishment in Washington DC are scared to death because it's not going to be business as usual. There are some, even in the Republican party who are going to resist what the president wants, including one of my senators, Lisa Murkowski. She's a RINO. He needs to act fast to accomplish his big plans. I'm hoping that he can have enough of a positive impact that people will start to understand that we don't have to live with corrupt and inefficient government agencies. For far too long the feds have taken more and more control over our lives. I'm looking for a complete overhaul of the border, hopefully a major trimming back of the IRS and removing the bloated, repetitive government agencies that help to keep us in debt. With all three branches of government, I'd love to see him get term limits passed on congress, and limit the power of lobbies to influence the people who are supposed to be working for us. Its the Republicans opportunity to make major good changes or lose the confidence of the American public. Well done gal.
Have a blessed evening.

yes, and last time they had the House and Senate, they did lose the confidence of the American public, but bless his heart, I have never seen such a worker. If he gets to accomplish all the things he wants and needs to, we all will be able to breathe freely again. I pray for his success!
And you are right about all those things you mentioned. I just hope he stays healthy and safe.

oh dear, if you could see me, you'd laugh at your description of me - no way. But I guess I sound that way, huh? Well, Yvette, I've gotten to the age, not to mention temperament, after listening to 4 years of their ...., that I want to say what I think. Old age has got to have some benefits!
I hope we're in for happier days, too, and we should be if all goes well - which is a big IF.

Like I tell the young 'uns that I work with at the store: I'm gonna just be honest. Period. I'm too old to be worrying about 'politically correct' and other such sh--! :-)
-
well, good for you! me, too. 'Course, I get into a lot of arguments that way. :)
-
yeah, folks are really sure what to think when they ask 'How does this look on me?' and I tell them.... and, yes, I can make the 'brutal' sound 'southernly polite'... :) ;) ;)
-
you have me chuckling. I wish I could hear you!
-
I bet you really entertain them at that store.
-
I do have the Men's Department on purpose... lol!! ;) ;)

aha! smart!

This is a good poem with great expectations. I agree with all the picks you sighted; they may do the good job you expect. Kennedy, not on your list, is rather worrisome.

I think Kennedy will be great, Carol. He was interviewed by Greta van Susteren and he listed the companies who were putting harmful things in our food and the same with Big Pharma, and if he can do what he plans to, we will be a healthier nation for it. And that's good, in my book.
Thanks for reading and for your comments!

Amen, Trump and his crew will straighten things out for this country again. We have a full house and Senate, things should go good for all, even the dem's.

Yes, I'm excited about it. Kennedy may have us all healthy yet, if he can get rid of all the stuff put in our food. And the thing that's the best is how qualified they all are, unlike who we have now.
Thank you for reading and for your comments!

Prosperous, free, and happy! You are a prophet. The only one I worry about is Matt Gaetz, however, it's spelled. They are trying to get him for being with a minor girl. They found nothing that warranted charges, but now she's speaking up. He's just one, and they expected some of these types of hiccups. I want to give you a six for sheer guts for putting conservative thoughts on this site, but I only have fives.

I have to admit, I get a little smile when my message box says you have new writing online, even if you are one of those pro-Trumpers. So am I, but, I've always wanted to say that.

I think we're getting ready to have some great things happen. Some good, strong people who will help bring them to fruition.

Just watch MSNBC, CNN, or The View. If they're crying, we're golden.

Love it!

I sure hope you're right about this. We need a clean sweep of our government officials. Paying them after a first or second term is a mistake. Anyway, I liked your optimism and am praying you are right. Gretchen

I hope so, too, Gretchen! I do think Musk and Ramaswamy are a terrific team. Wouldn't you love to hear them strategizing?
Thanks for reading and for your nice comments.

Oooooh, my dear friend, please join in with me in praying that he makes it to Inauguration Day. I have had such a fear for the last two years that he may not.
It is our medias fault that would advertise that there was a big reward for killing him. It makes me sick.
Anyways, I loved your poem. It tells many of my same feelings for the situation.
I was so excited when I knew for sure he was winning too. He sure has appointed a lot of people, like you talk about in your poem. I do wonder about RFK because of the fact that I wonder if he is qualified to run the health part when he hasn't been a dr.
You put this together so well with so many of your facts and still made them rhyme. I loved some of your clever rhymes, "like a strong, full-steam-ahead snow plow." And some others were classics.
Great job, my friend, awesome poem. Love, Debi

Thank you, Debi for your great comments! You're mighty sweet. I got started writing that thing and couldn't stop, I get so wrapped up in it all.
Personally I think Kennedy would be great, when I heard him talking about how he wants to get rid of all the (pardon me,) crap that is put in the food we eat. He talks about how many sick people there are because of all that stuff. He probably knows more about it than the doctors.
I don't think I had really seen true evil until the blatant things the Left has been doing and saying - just out and out lies, one after the other. Even saying such horrible things about Trump and what a threat he is, that he is shot at twice and still they try to cover up why they never checked out the site where the shooter was, when there were actual pictures of him checking it out!!! They have no saving grace as far as I'm concerned. Well, I've been ranting again, and I apologize. I am happy about Trump's plans. I just hope he gets to implement them!
Thank you again for getting in touch. I hope you are doing okay!!!
Stay well and have a happy Thanksgiving!
love, Kay

You know I. Have nothing against RFK. But just not sure all healthy related subjects are in his ballpark because he's not in the medical field. I know that he doesn't believe in vaccinations and neither do we but I is he qualified for kids tto say? That is really. My mind beeff and makes mee question this decciseion -
-
Debi, first, I'm not arguing with you - please know that. But the new research material that the doctors read - if indeed they do keep up with reading it all, can be read by Kennedy, and apparently it has been. The thing is, the Doctors and hospitals get paid by the pharmaceutical companies for every drug or vaccine they give (sell). I don't trust doctors who give vaccines that have not been thoroughly tested, but they keep right on advising people to take them, whereas Kennedy has studied the research and knows full well what Big Pharma is doing, and that it is wrong. And not only wrong, but dangerous. Same goes for the stuff that's put in our food.
A very good friend of mine's granddaughter, a baby, was given some vaccination 6 months before she was supposed to have it and it has affected her speech and other cognitive things. Her parents are furious and when their 2nd child was born, they forbid all shots.
My internist prescribed a medicine for me that even I knew had been recalled for two years! All I'm saying is that sometimes doctors don't keep up. OR they'd rather get paid by Big Pharma. HOWEVER, I understand your concern.
Some of the doctors who were telling the dangers of the covid vaccine had their practices shut down!.They were silenced. Now that Trump will be doing something about things like that, they are coming forward again to tell how they were silenced, and warn people once again. You may know all this, already, but it is important to know, I think. Listen, my father and both grandfathers AND my first husband were all doctors, so I have always been pretty partial to them, but I've also read and heard on the news that young doctors, today aren't being warned of things like that they are so busy teaching them all this WOKE stuff. The don't question medications.
okay, I'm through, and you're probably saying THANK HEAVENS!
and I don't blame you :)

Haha, you can sure tell that I was in my iPad, half sleeping when I wrote this. First of all because I agree with everything you just said. We have always been 100% against what drs have done to people. Hey I was one of them who had so many meds shoved down my throat while they got the kickback for prescribing me things. Finally it got to the point that I needed new meds to help me because of what the last med did to me. Then they pushed narcotics on me so bad that I almost lost my family because I became addicted and finally before I quit, I was on a fentanyl patch, 60 mg 4 times a day of OxyContin, and 4 Percocet a day for my lupus pain. I was a walking zombie. But boy was it hard to wean off of them. That is why when I did my knee and leg surgeries in 2022, (which will be my post tomorrow)
I refused all narcotics. They told me it couldn't be done, and I said well I will do it and I did. I loved those narcotics as they made me feel like all was good in the world. So I was no different than a junkie but mine were legal. Only difference. I shake at the thought of ever finding one in my house somewhere. Would I be able to throw it or take it to see how it would feel???? I really don't know. So you are so right about that.
You are also right that all mine is about RFK is just a concern.
I have a question for you.
Do you do the flu vaccine?
I did not this year as my kids are so against it and my one daughter who is the VP of a company where she gets a lot of info from got upset that I was even considering it. So I told her that at my age and health, all her knowledge won't do her mom any good if I am dead from the flu. LOL.

no, not going to take it. I'm old and don't care. Your are young, so it's your call. hate to make this short, but got to run.
