I absolutely loved this it gave me goosebumps and brought a tear to my eye. A beautiful story. Yes one of broken dreams but of also have everything one could ever dream. Wonderful poem, I just read after it it previously placed in a competition, I can see why. Well done, thanks for sharing

Isn't it funny? An excellent entry for the Share a Story in a Poem contest. What a beautiful flow to this poem and the story was told so well in verse. It is a common story of dreams that get crushed as we get older and as life forces a different reality upon us. Wish I had a six.
