Oh, I've always been fascinated by all the blossoms that bloom in the sun's absence... and a wonderful haiku to pay them tribute! ;) Thanx for sharing that smile in the darkness, Gypsy! ;) Yvette

I honestly don't think I have ever seen a moon flower. Of course, I'm an early to bed, early riser type of person. Once again, your presentation is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this special talent with us.

It's amazing how nature can turn our expectations on their head! I wonder why they bloom at night and challenge the natural order of things? A lovely, thought-provoking verse which I enjoyed. Take care Debbie

This is another beautifully crafted piece, Gypsy. I used to have a neighbor that grew a vine along her fence line. The flowers were purple and only bloomed after the sun came down. I used to go over there and watch them open. Thanks for sparking this fantastic memory.
God bless,
Steve

Beautiful Haiku poem. This to me, refers to people who shine in the background, not everybody likes the limelight. In Trinidad we have a flower called, Lady of the Night, very fragrant and beautiful flower, similar to the one in your poem.

I've never seen or heard of a Moon Flower. How cool is that? So people photograph them in the dark? Do they bloom for one night only and then they're done? Nice Haiku!

Right on! Let's be like those moonflowers sharing a glowing light in the darkest night. We don't have to be overwhelmed by the darkness. We can spread hope and love.
