Those days when all men carried a side arm when the law allowed it and still does! A gun in the hands of a madman can cause mayhem and we have seen it time and time again in America. Your story could be a case of mistaken identity here though, I wish you luck with the contest Faye, love Dolly x x x

I love how you've created this Western scene. The build up of tension in the town is right there on the surface. I found myself drawn into the mystery of the gunman's true purpose. The way you share the fear and uncertainty of the townspeople and the ranchers is great; it's like the town is holding its breath waiting for something to happen. I especially enjoyed the twist at the end - after all the anticipation! Fantastic storytelling!
